Hello everyone. In the February issue of the U.K. based magazine Martial Arts Illustrated, there is an article on Lightning Scientific Arnis.I think the February issue is out on January 18
There should also be some subsequent articles about Lightning as well as other FMA systems. |

Should make for good reading Shaun. Once it is published, maybe you can post it here for those who cant get MAI in their countries.
I get a copy for free cos Lucy advertises in it
Well done mate.

Me too, but we get a copy anyway as Lucy advertises her company in it. In the past 2 years I must admit their standard has droppped so it's about time they had someone like Shaun to give them a better class of article.
Do what most of my guys do, go to WH Smith, read it from the shelf, screw it up a bit and put it back (or that's what they tell me anyway)
Lets be honest the last FMA feature articles in there over the past 2 years have been somewhat lacking, well crap really.
I know Shaun he will have some great stuff to include.

One of my students told me, apparently I am featured in Bob Syke's (MAI Editor) new book 'The Journey Man' which is being sold a Waterstones.
Let's just say I am not a happy bunny rabbit if it is true, he did not ask my permission, I am going to the book store to see what he has written, and if I don't like it, well I am sure you can guess the rest.

| I have the MAI January Issue. I wanted to subscribe to it, but then again, I wanted to see if the content would be of any interest to me, and so I bought one copy only. And alas, it was boring (imo) and it didn't have much on South East Asian MAs. That's all I'm interested in anyway. Therefore, I'm not subscribing to it. I'll buy next month's issue though. Go LSA! :) |
