We sometimes do an interesing drill for knife training. The knife guy has a piece of chalk, the big ones they do pavement art with. You practice your stuff, and see how chalked up you get. You can tell how hard/deep the cuts would be from the thickness nof the chalk. Works well as a lot of FMA groups use blach t-shirts. Can be very enlightening, and is a lot less messy than using markers.

That’s a awesome idea Mike as I ramble through the kids toys and get there street chalk out,(It’s ok kids Uncle Mike said”) Laughing

Another alternative is using a shocknife, as they look pretty cool Twisted Evil But at US$500 a pop, they are out of the question for most folks.

(slightly off-topic, but following the flow of the thread a bit)

I'm not too sure about the whole electric shocker thing.

Some time ago a bunch of guys I worked with and I tried to make a stun-gun, one of the contact types, not a taser. We were all engineers.

We worked out a design based on what we thought it needed to be, and built it. No-one could figure quite how much voltage and current it would generate. As a result, no-one was keen to be a guineapig.

We tried measuring the output, as we worked in a very well apointed engineering lab. We blew up the first 3 bits of kit we used to test it. Too much output.

We decided not to go any further with it.

As far as I know, my old flatmate still has it in his garage.

After we shelved the project, and knowing what a devious sod my old flattie was, I made a point of never getting drunk anywhere he may have the thing, and a desire to test it.... Very Happy
