A bit like Serra Todo lock ups from Espada 'Y' Daga also being used either with single stick and empty hands.
Put it this way, I base a lot of what I do around Espada 'Y' Daga, even my single stick and my empty hands. Espada 'Y' Daga is the core to everything I do and I beleive the FILMOCAN is based on the same principal.
As they say, it never had a name, but they gave it one, so until I actually see it it is hard to say for definite what he is doing, but I am pretty sure it is a transition of single stick based on Espada 'Y' Daga.
Hope this helps

Thinking back on it, it was probably GM Momoy that sutlely made me base everything I do on Espada 'Y' Daga after I was lucky enough to meet him before he unfortunately left us. I know it was after this meeting I fell in love with Espada 'Y' Daga. But then again he was the best IMHO.

I will start off by saying un fact checked but still plausible.
FILemon MOmoy CANete (FILMOCAN)
This seems to be a style Momoy gave his name to- unlike SanMiquel
(San Miguel is St Michael is JesusChrist who was nailed on a Cross and this style performs a lot of CROSS stepping and arm CROSSing).
I'm guessing that this is some form of self stylised system Momoy feels he created. |

Have just perused the FILMOCAN site.
FILMOCAN is Momoys' Grandsons name for Momoys SanMigeul (as best I can reckon) |

On reading the site, and from what I can gather it is the late, Momoys son who gave the name FILMONCAN to the single stick translations from Momoys Espada 'Y' Daga.
Actually Staint Micheal, or San Miguel is the Arch Angel Micheal who defeated and bannished Satan and sent him back to hell, and the style was named after San Miguel because in statues and paintings San Miguel is often seen posturing with the sowrd in the guard possition we often see in the style.
If you veiw the You Tube footage at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZTGsO7i2kQ you will hear GM Kano give an explanation of the San Miguel name and see a statue of San Miguel and the posture mentioned.
The late Momoy call everything he done San Miguel and it was he that gave it the name. Certain areas he had no name for and I think it is for this reason his Grandson came up with the term FILMONCAN for those un-named areas.
Best regards
