Well Peter you can start by donating £1500 to me
Maybe you should have put this in the events section Becky. But never mind. What do you have planned??? when is it planned for???
Nice to see you listened last night, and welcome to the forum both of you.
Best regards

I was thinking of having a Spar-a-thon. getting everyone at work and everyone who walks through the door of our gym to sponsor us a fiver (£10 if they're rich) and paul and I batter our students in various formats; full armour; padded stick; empty hand etc.
then we drink beer!
i think this is an excellent fundraising idea.
I also thought of having the day culminate in a black eagle event, but based on general past attendances by scottish folk, it'd probably be me and paul.

I would like to drink beer as a fund raising idea, and then go to the Philippines and drink more beer. Any one out there that will donate lots of beer for this event don't be shy and come forward. Don't give it to Pat first though or there'll be none left on the day. P.S I also like lots of food. |

As long as we dont have to do any of that Irish Dancing malarky, unless there is lots of beer involved that is
And yes Paul does like lots of food. EVERY 2 HOURS
Best regards

actually a Ceili Dance would be an excellent Idea Well done Pat!! - maybee at the summer camp? Seige of Ennis or one of the other thirty odd that there is.
I will be talking to the Polish Centre to see if they will let me have access to their Bar. But as they are a commitee they do have the tendancy to be very slow.
In dance classes for fundraisers we have done dance a thons before where you would dance solid for an hour! Alcohol could spice this up a little!! maybee if you were dancing with a rucksack on filled with beer (seen the back pack things on water guns before - definately a possibility) every minute have a drink....... hmmm this could take a little more planninng but anything is possible.
Still will see if i hear back from the polish church commitee soon... The Irish Centre commitee is even slower, believe me. |

Right we have already figured that we will NOT be doing Irish Dancing, seen as we are an FMA group going to an FMA World Championships, lets not confuse people any more than they are already when it comes to sticks here in the UK. Or they will thnk we are Morris Dancers.
Anyway, you still have not told us what you have planned as a fund raiser?????? And if the Beers cost us, we wont raise too much eh! May as well stay at home and save the money for the beer in the PI
So, when, where, and what?? Come on let us know, bearing in mind it needs to be people from outside the group that are offering the donations otherwise we will be funding our own events. :?
Best regards

Morris Dancing with attitude sounds good!!
I was thinking if I could get permission to use the hall I use for classes and if they get someone to do the bar we could have like a buffet fundraiser with dj (If my cousin will do it) with a raffle open to everyone Its possible i would get people from work there and also people from uni and dancing but with regards to the hall being comittee run its a big if!! which is annoying.
Maybee we could host a talent show for kids - with Trophy Prizes there is a small stage at the venue.
I think Pat would make a lot of money Dancing personally!! Good laugh anyway!!. Maybee a tinikling night!! Fma philipine Tinikling!!! Tinikling FMA Hmmmmmmmmm |

rebecca kane wrote: Maybee a tinikling night!! Fma philipine Tinikling!!! Tinikling FMA Hmmmmmmmmm Tinikling = Folk Dance, FMA = Martial Art, Irish Dancing = Folk Dance, FMA = Martial Art. Lets not get them confused my dear
There may be a small link (yet to be proven) between the Tinikling and certain aspects of the FMA, but there is no link between the Irish Dance and FMA. Hence I said I am not doing any dancing. Have you seen Tinikling, I have and I have done it too and it looks nothing like Irish Dancing.
Best regards
