Thanks for the merry banter chaps.
You're right about the size of the road kill Pat, we've got black bears and 800lb Elk here. When out for a run or walk I take a bahi stick and a karambit with me. I'm quite confident that bears don't know stick and dagger. Besides, a black bear is roughly the same weight as me, not as heavy as Peter though . It's those long nails and sharp teeth that give it a slight edge.
It's Kansas City, Missouri that we're heading to Damien. Her job is with the millitary at Fort Leavenworth.
There's not much in the way of martial arts at the gym I'm training at here, although the gym itself is awesome, only Tang Soo Do, boxing, and a new MMA class that starts tonight. At least I can get to use the bags etc.
Take care guys.
Remember and twirl the stick right rooound yer heed Peter, you can't afford any more brain damage.

Will do Pat, some of those road kill burgers don't agree with me, out done myself a few times. Even I have to leave the room.
Checked out the knife carrying laws here, there isn't any. You can carry what you like, maybe a sword's out of the question though. Been told the bears can get up to around 500lbs, nearly Peter's size, so I'm re-thinking the karambit and going for a bigger blade.
Getting good attention at the gym mate. Had people coming up to find out what the 'booming' noise is. They're taken aback a bit when they see it,s me punching and kicking the bag. Maybe soon someone will ask for more details. Also I'll be down in Florida quite soon to teach the Marines, my mate's pushing me for a time to go. (maybe someone else'll teach them how to shoot the right enemy as well) Things are looking up.
Hope all is well with you guys, wherever you are.
Take it easy and, hey, missing you already. |

Paul having to leave room Now that's a first, I am jealous about the knife carrying laws, you lucky bugger.
Good to hear things are picking up, try getting a stick out and start hitting the bag, that will really get their interest
And I am sure no-one can every teach their Marines to shoot straight and at the enemy
Peter is doing well with his diet, he has slimmed down to fat ******* size now
Keep us posted ya hear.
Speak soon mate

Hi Pat,
Just a quick note just now mate to let you know that I'm going down to Florida next week for a while. I'll be appearing on a TV station as well as teaching two Sheriff's departments. My mate and I will be performing demos for all involved. I won't be stepping on his wing chun toes too much, cos at some point I have to come back to PA, so I'll be doing knife and locks. I'll definitely let them know where it comes from.
Peter- I'll also mention you when I use your stuff too mate.
I won't forget anyone.
Hope fully I'll be able to get a copy of all this and send it to you.
Take it easy guys and wish me luck. |

Hey Paul
I am surprised that you can remember any of it. Oh yeah, don't forget your sticks and try to iron your uniform so that it does fit your wrinkles.
Good luck with all new ventures there mate.
Take care and best wishes to the Little Lady

Thanks Pat.
I'll be staying down there for at least 2 weeks. I'll be introducing my mate, Chris, who runs a full-time school down there, to the Filipino arts. Who knows mate, you might get a new affiliate.
Yes Peter, I will remember my sticks this time.
Although Pat, just to make you jealous mate, I won't forget my knife, Smith and Wesson (the gun makers) 8 inch blade, because it's in a sheath strapped to my side and goes everywhere with me. Cost me a whole $16. |

Won't matter anyway mate because, according to statistics, the average household in this city has 25 guns. I won't be arguing with too many people until I get one of my own. |
