Hey I watched you guys fight last time in Manila, and that fake fall over to take the ** out of the other guy who was trying to cheat was the funniest thing I ever seen , Just a shame Becky tried to mimic it later and mad a complete hash of it (dead ant's dead ant's ). But then again I suppose you have to have a sense of humour in the first place to pull off stunts like that
Yep sod the rules, lets just have fun I always say.

And if you look at the rules, you are now allowed to thrust to the body and thighs
Also at the next British Championships we will have a staff / Long Stick event, that is gonna be sooooo funny, (must remember get ambulance on standby)

Hey Pat
is there any annual fees ectect, that need to be paid to WASA,
like WEKAF have yearly fees and you must be a member to participate at a WEKAF run event.
Does this also apply to WASA? |

Well that is a padded staff, only head and groin protection and at the moment there is no annual fees for WASA. Will let you guys know if and when it does have fees.

Well this latest set of rules (they have changed a bit since last year, say's 1 minute rounds, which used to be 2 minute rounds, but it may revert back soon We use the 2 minute round in the UK.
Hey Pat,
so is that 1 round of 1-2 mins or 2 rounds of 1-2 mins?
Pat OMalley wrote: as for the body protector, this is used for the kids and is the TKD body protector,
Also you will notice that gloves are allowed, again it was the kids (at the last world events) that wore the gloves,
I may have a 15 year old (his age at July 2008) that may be participating,
will he need the tKD armour and gloves or does he fight like the adults format?
Pat OMalley wrote: The official weapon of the WASA format it the padded stick hence there is no need for body armour, but saying that a rattan stick wrapped in Foam can and does hurt like hell.
Will they be using Lucys soft stick or the smak stix's? |

it has always been 2 minute rounds up until this new set of rules was sent to me and it is 2 rounds for the qualifyers and the best of 3 rounds for the finals. Hope that helps

Hard to say, I would have thought becuase he is 15 he may well use the TKD body armour, but if he is a big lad then who knows?

The padded sticks Lucy supplies are the official WASA sticks, those Smakstix I am affraid dont live up to what they say they are, they tried them (because they were FREE and they were spinsoring the event) at one event and Lucy broke 3 in one round, and they had to revert back to the one's Lucy supplies
Hope that helps
