I posted a bit about this in the NZ forum, but for those who can't see in there...
The weekend of july 28th Bakbakan NZ is hosting Senior Bakbakan Australia instructor Rahneer Fabi.
The seminar will be in 4 blocks, morning and afternoon on the saturday and sunday.
Topics covered will likely be:
Knife
Bakbakan Kali
Lameco Eskrima
Kali Ilustrisimo
Stick grappling
and maybe some Submission Grappling.
The cost for the weekend has not been finalised as yet, but somewhere less than $150 for the full weekend is likely, around 12-16 hours training.
Other training (friday, monday) may also be available.
Rahneer is a qualified Bakabakan Kali instructor under Master Rey Galang, as well as having Lameco Eskrima certification From PG Edgar Sulite (in the PI), and having trained extensively with Master Christopher Rickets, GM Tony Diego, and GM Antonio "Tatang" Ilustrisimo. In addition Rahneer has an extensive grappling background with training from such folks as Eric Paulson.
And He's not too bad for an Aussie... |

Just an update:
It's now happening next weekend (29-30).
The sessions are:
Sat AM : Bakbakan Kali (this may not be open... don't know yet)
Sat PM : Kali Ilustrisimo and Lameco Eskrima
Sun AM: Stick grappling
Sun PM: Knife (Mainly Pekiti Tirsia but maybe Lameco and Ilustrisimo)
Cost is $50 a session, or $120 for all 3 (Sat PM, All Sun).
Training is at the Howick gym, except the stick grappling which is in Paptoetoe (As they have mats)
As I say above, we aren't sure if Sat AM is going to be open, it may be our grading etc.
