I train with PG Peter Lewis in Zu'bu kali Ilustrisimo. I had read a great deal of the great Antonio 'Tatang' Ilustrisimo and also his second most senior student (after GM Tony Diego) GM Yuli Romo; I knew that I had to seek out GM Yuli's system, and fortunately for me I found that Peter was only 50 mins away from me and the rest is history :)
As far as my (limited) experience goes, I particularly like the effectiveness and directness of the system and how it all seems to make 'sense' if you follow my meaning. Peter is an excellent teacher, very skilled and very patient So I recommend seeking him out if you're interested in learning either Zu'bu or Bakbakan Ilustrismo systems ! |

My experience is in the Bakbakan method of Master Rey. Although we have had some training with the Bakbakan Australia instructor, who trained directly with Tatang, and well as Masters Ricketts and Galang.
My instructor also trained with Master Rickets and GM Diego in the PI, as well as Master Yuli, who he speaks very highly of (in fact, He's listed in the testimonials on the website...) |
