Mine would be.... (taken from my Intro thread).... Everytime you see people carrying big elongated bags on their backs, you always think they're carrying sticks with them. lol
Oh... and I'm starting to look at kitchen knives in a different light.................
Anyone else? |

It has got to be when you start twirling any thing that you pick up or always get the urge to hit people with things/objects that you pick up.
And getting adventurous during food preperation with the knife. "it did look like a chicken when I started, honest".
Lots of love

oooooh! i actually attempted to twirl a teaspoon as i was getting my coffee this morning at work!.... ooh... difficult trick! lol.....
i'm also learning to threaten people at work with my stick... especially the other side of the IT department who keep on leaving the rest of us out of the decision-making. I just pick one of their 'soft' guys.... and then wave the stick in front of him and whack it onto the table. And then he cooperates and grants me all the changes and favours that I ask of him.... ehehehehhe.
It's also weird.... coz I don't feel at ease when I don't have my sticks with me... (eg. if I left them at work for the night)... |

O.k so maybe you need to become less reliant on the sticks.
Start transforming items around you into weapons and see what you can come up with.
Like a table with a chair on top of it and a few metal filing cabinets on top with a piece of guttering pipe and projectile items and you have got a tank.... only kidding.
The things you did not realise you could do with a pencil or like in that film, what is it called? where he says he is going to kill the guy with a cup.
I reckon just carry round a pocket full of sand and throw it in anyones eyes that come near you, friend or foe.
Lots of love

Uhm.... this might sound really sad...... but....
everytime i get chatted up by men, i end up 'sales-talking' them to come to class....... lol
last week i was chatted up at an escalator in a tube station..... i was with damien but he was far behind me.... the guy behind me started talking to me....
that night.... went clubbing with friends.... got chatted up by this guy who danced with me..... and followed me around after that...... i did the same thing to him.... lol....
and last night.... i met up with an ex.... and got introduced to some of his work mates...... and i ended up trying to convince them to come...... i got em interested lol.... one of em's turning up on monday....
god..... its like everytime i get to meet new people, i always try to bring up arnis and convince them to try it.....
sad isn't it? lol..... |

AS a IT worker and BOFH I have to suggest the humble IEC 13A 'kettle' lead, for all IT techs. nearly every PC and piece of enterprise kit has one, doubtless you have spares, it's heavy and pointy on one end, good for swinging, and I'd imagine with some flexable weapons techniques rather handy for locks.
Of course, finding one on an IT tech it would surely be a tool of the trade officer..... .:) |

An elbow strike works really well for turning on the old fashioned hand driers with the big chrome 'mushroom button'....
I find whenever I pick anything up now it seems to fall into a suitable grip for swinging, that ol' live hand snaps up too! |

a few more reasons how i know ive gone arnis mad...
1. there's too much violence in my dreams... yes, i keep on dreamin about arnis! err!
2. im probably one of the vainest people in the world... but i wouldn't mind getting freakin huge bruises all over my body from head to toe! mainly on my thighs! (waah! i cant wear mini skirts anymore! my legs are fooked! - will have to stop training for my bruises to heal for about two weeks before i see my bf this xmas... lol - ooh he's also gonna murder me when he sees my calouses!)
3. i've redesigned my instructor's website.... twice
4. i think of arnis while at work... looking forward and gettin real excited to training in the evenings... feelin shite and depressed when classes are cancelled...
5. i feel guilty when i cant make it to class...
6. my knuckles, palms and wrists are hot and hurting, but i still keep on going (ive stopped putting plasters on my blisters now)
7. ive recently been wearing my sarongs/malongs again (ive got a couple stashed in my drawers which i havent used in a long while)
8. Pinoy Pride keeps on growing - Pround to be Pinay!
