Hey Pat ,with your latest achievement of becoming European Representative for the San Miguel System.
Will you be teaching this method separate from the RA & DP multi-style systems? or will you be blending SM into RA?
Is there much difference with the grading curriculum /levels between DP Multistyle and SM?

This link here is about the best resource I can find on the San Miguel system for those that are interested

Hi mate,
I will be keeping it seprate, no point in messing up the old traditional style I love eh! there is obviously an influence of RA from San Miguel and that can only be a good thing.

I too love what I've experienced of the San Miguel system. Looking forward to doing more.

I'll be keeping an eye out for upcoming SM seminars, see you there!

Hey Pat,
your a bloody legend mate, where else can you go to learn all three (major)systems of Docepares & your own system of Rapid Arnis under the same roof as such.

You have an exccelant mix of systems blending in well togeather.look forward to reading more about the SM and playing with you in the future.( i will sign out now before i begin to sound like a groupiee like inocent lol).

Is there much difference with the grading curriculum /levels between DP Multistyle and SM? Is the structure the same as the above link i posted?

Well the SM system is (for want of a better word) less intensive, the Doce Pares Multi Style System incorporates the 12 original styles that made up the Original Doce Pares Club. San Miguel is but one of those styles.

But saying that it is a lovely ancient style and I certainly will be doing more when I go back, some latigo (whip) on my next trip, I have always wanted to do whip so finally I get the chance.

GM Kano is a great ambassidor and instructor as well as being a very funny guy and Kareoke King. The Irish boy's can tell you just how simple but intense the system is, I turned up in Cebu when they were training and to say they looked shattered after training with GM Kano is an understatement. Laughing

Training with GM Kano is a blast! He certainly doesn't hold back, and the harder you go at him, the more he just grins at you!

After doing San Miguel with Kano and with Albert, I'm itching for more.

Not so sure about the singing though

I've got a permanent souvenir of my training with GM Kano in Cebu; a lump of scar tissue on the back of my hand where he kept blocking me with the tip of his dagger in exactly the same spot, no matter which drill we did.

Kano wasn't the only slave driver at the HQ though: After half an hour of training with Master Rudy I looked like I'd just had a shower fully-clothed. nice. Rolling Eyes

Send them all over, meanwhile I'll rob the ones from the blogspot.

Paul has just put an article out, it'll be in the Irish Fighter mag on march 1st, but I've also out it here: http://www.wildgeesema.com/DoceparesHQ.htm

Thanks
