This year see's the Rapid Arnis Annual Camp be held in Kent again.
This year we are not having a campsite as last year most of the participants chose to stay in hotels or go home. So this year we have hired a large hall with great facilities.
DATE: 26th, 27th & 28th May 2007
VENUE: Corinthians Sports Club, Longfield, Dartford, Kent DA3 8LY
TIMES: 10 am to 4.30 pm each day.
FEES: £100 per person for all 3 days (grading fees inclusive)
£60 per person for 1 day.
This is the only chance you get to train with all the top Rapid Arnis Instructors and Masters including Tuhon Pat O'Malley, Tuhon Nigel Herterich, Dayang Lucy O'Malley and many more.
The 3 day event will cover many aspects of the FMA including Doce Pares Original Multi Style, San Miguel Eskrima, Serra Todo, Eskrido, Dumog, Panantukan and much much more. You also get the chance to see candidates testing for the much coveted instructors ranks which is said to be one of the hardest FMA gradings ever taken.
SPEICAL NOTE: All those attending the 3 days will be allowed to grade absolutely free on the final day. Those only attending 1 day will not be allowed to grade at the camp.
All UK Affiliates must attend all 3 days of the camp and bring stuidents with them so we can check your progress in the organisation.

Brill. It is a while away so it will give me a chance to learn how to hold a stick again. I couldnt even do 3 count. Thanks for the email back Pat. I won't be able to make the camp in march as it is too close to get enough practice in to sit the grading.
Bring on may.... :-) |

I'm pissed. Just found out I can't make this event. Coz I've gotta to to Cape Town for a week for work. Grr.
Why did it have to fall on the same weekend as the camp... grr... |

It's not holiday. It's work. I already have the itinerary and its packed and will barely have time to see the place. Fine. Lemme go figure out the answer to the religion question then. |

Thanks Rick!
They did help a bit after all!
But, I would like to give an extra mention to Edmund Quartey.
He was THE most outstanding student of the day and helped a few, myself included, bring thier game up to make the grade.
Unfortunately, his day ended on a rather bad note, but I know full well
that Edmund will return full force and in exellent form at the next grading!
I intentionally chose edmund to partner with this year due to the last meeting we had and I am more than pleased to do it again!
THANK YOU BROTHER EDMUND!!!

Rick - who's the third kiwi?
Shelly abd Clint are kiwi, but I always thought Damien Alexander was an american living in London.
You're not confusing him with Damian Halforty, my instructor, are you?
Or maybe the O'Malleys are honourary kiwis now! |

Just wanted to say thanks for a great annual camp. Being my first one, I was a bit nervous, but everyone made me feel welcome. It was great to learn from Nigel, Lucy, and Pat. Thank you for the grading, that was a surprise ... and thanks for the "affiliate of the year" award, that was a surprise too.
It was great to see the gradings, and to see such a high standard of eskrima and comradeship from everybody that day.
Looking forward to seeing you all again at the british council festival.
Keith. |
