You realise Ermar cannot go 1st, he will have to go 7th because of his rank.
The only person higher ranked than him is Pat, believe it or not.
Myself and Big Nigel are equal rank and I think (although not sure) we have been doing it longer so we will go 8th and 9th.
Lots of love

Hi Guys,
Some of you might know that the original reason I got into arnis was because I had wrecked my knee playing RL. I couldn't kick properly, so I thought that I would do a bit of stick until I was well enough to go back to kung fu!
That was 14 years ago (I never went back!)
I was away last week and jumped off a wall about 2ft high while taking a short cut to the beach and did it again.
I have lost aoubd 10 degrees of extension and 20degrees of flexion. I am seeing my physio-therapist in the morning.
Last time it took me about a month to be walking properly again, so I doubt that it is a very good idea contemplating the whole line-up thing at the moment.
Sorry if anyone is terribly disappointed.
Jon |

I've been having problems with my knees since February too. (I hate staircases so much! Feel like my kneecaps are gonna come off soon! grr..) Made it worse these past 2 weeks. Grr. Don't think mine's as serious as yours though. I'm still having a checkup soon. I'm feeling you. Didn't realize how important knees are until these past couple of weeks. Errr...
I hope you get well soon!
Großes Liebe!

My knees hurt at the thought of facing 'Big Nigel' with a stick, too.
Funny everyone is having trouble with their knees, I was carrying a box of 300 sticks the other day and suddenly felt like my legs were going to give way...this was after carry several of the boxes so I think I got a bit tired walking up a slope and now my knees are killing me, it is like a cross between escalating cramp pains and bruising.
I think it is connected to my foot as I snapped some cartilage in my foot leading to my toes about 3 years ago, which still really hurts too and my knees have started to ache a bit recently.....I am probably walking lop sided or something. I am developing a hump on my back and occasionally muttering the words "Bells, the Bells", what could it be?
Perhaps we will have to do fighting from a chair.....hehehe. Lets come up with a new format. Because we have to realise we are all going to get old one day too, so what will we do then?
Any ideas?
I hope you get better soon Jon.

| My knees are fine. a quick spray of wd40 everyday. It worked for my uncle. He still climbs stairs and can bend down to tie his shoelaces. He is 94. |

| Nope. I'm serious. Apparently there's some chemical in there that is similar to something natural. I forget the name of it. |

Sounds like everyone's gonna have to start doing arnis in wheelchairs, Barbara Gordon style... (there's one for you comic-book fans out there).
I can easily imagine Lucy cooking up some interesting disarms involving the spokes, Pat inventing some rather unpleasant limb-breaks with the rims, and Damien using that trademark redneck-creativity by lobbing the wheelchair at someone's head...
...and since i'm apparently his favourite crash-test-dummy, i'm beginning to regret mentioning it at all...
