Hello Everyone
My name is Grant Boath,
I am 35 years old, married with two children
2nd degree black belt Doce Pares Multi-style system
{recieved first grade blackbelt by Grandmaster Dionesio Canete in Cebu city, Philippines 2004. recieved 2nd degree blackbelt 2006)

Member of the NZCEKAI
I live way down at the bottom of the world in Invercargill where I have been training in the art of Doce Pares multi style system for about 8 years now.I was trained by the Late Great Gordon Carnie untill his sad and sudden death last year.I teach Doce Pares to about 13 students down here at present, but hope to grow our club even bigger. We are currently training hard for the 2008 world Escrima ,kali,arnis world champs which will be held in Cebu city ,Philippines and hope to have a fairly large team to represent New Zealand.

Welcome Grant, good to have you here and great to here you wll be attending the 2008 WEKAF in Cebu, unfortunately I will not be able to make that one but will be there hopefully for new year and the Sinulog festival
Also good to hear your part of the NZCKEAI, good job and more power to you.

Thank you for the welcome Pat.
Its great to see there is this type of forum out there for all FMA students and teachers to use and talk to one an other. This is what i think the sport needs ,that is everyone being able to get together and share there thoughts and ideas with people from all different Filipino martial arts as there is so much we can learn from each other.
