I've heard from Anton St'James this morning that there was a bad fire in the St. Nicholas bario in Cebu where Momoy Canete lived and GM Canete's house burned down. Condolences to all who are involved.

It is a shame GM Momoys house has burnt down and I hear that many old pictures of him have been lost, but from what I gather, luckly no one was hurt.
Our sympathies go out to them.

According to some news reports that I have read over 50 houses burned down and there are hundreds of people in emergency shelter at the local sports compex. There was one fatality.
I got an email this morning from Master Panto Flores and he said that he and his wife lost everything they owned. Fortunately both were away from the house when the fire started and they weren't hurt.
Best,
Steve |

Best,
Steve That is fortunate that they were not hurt, Fires in these areas spread like wildfire, we witnessed on in 2000 when Liloan burt down, it took 100 homes with it, fortunately on one body was found in the fire, that of an old lady who was already dead, it was the candles around her coffin that started the fire.
Thanks for up-dating us, if I find anything else out I will let keep you posted.
