Greetings People,
I have a few questions regarding the Rapid Arnis emblem.
1)What does the emblem mean?
2)Why the red shield?
3)what does the shield represent?
4)Why a man in the middle of the emblem?
5)Who does this man represent?
6)Why the two sticks in the middle behind the man?
I ask this as my young student has become a member and has passed his white belt and has just received his emblem and looking into my chrystal stick i foresee a lot of why and what's regarding the emblem, for some reason 14 year olds are like 3 year olds and just ask why 25 times plus .
Anyway i am just trying to get myself prepared as he has alread caught me of guard with the what & why's of the NZCKEAI emblem (which i will post a similar question in the BCKEAI thread).
Thanks in advance.

1)What does the emblem mean? Rapid Arnis
2)Why the red shield? If it was black you would not see it on a black t-shirt , but the reason we use a black t-shirt is we consider black to be combat and white to be sport and red is a prominent colour in the Philippines and our full instructors wear a red belt hence the red sheild.
3)what does the shield represent? It is a traditional Filipino tribal sheild and we teach traditional FMA.
4)Why a man in the middle of the emblem? Because a few people would not like a topless woman on the logo, although many would not mind It was my original emblem, the man (lapu lapu) standing proud with confidence.
5)Who does this man represent? See above
6)Why the two sticks in the middle behind the man? Back up.
Hope that helps
